2017 Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Rates Released
Every year, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry determines the maximum workers’ compensation rate for injured workers who sustain an injury and associated wage loss for that year. For injured workers who sustain wage loss for the period of January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017 the maximum amount of workers compensation the injured worker can receive is $995. This represents an increase from the 2016 maximum rate of $978 per week. It’s important to understand that an injured workers’ wage loss benefit is determined by their average weekly wage and the year in which in the injury occurred. However, unlike social security disability, the wage loss rate does not increase based upon inflation and cost of living adjustments.
